Kosovo striker Asllani does not pass RB Leipzig's medical check and stays at Hoffenheim after the deal collapses.
The transfer of Fisnik Asllani to RB Leipzig crumbles at the final hurdle. The 23-year-old Kosovo striker failed the medical examination required by the German club, according to Mundo Deportivo, aborting an agreement that seemed sealed: a contract until 2031 and €30 million that Leipzig was set to pay Hoffenheim.
The Bundesliga side did not specify what medical issue was detected in the player, merely announcing that the deal would not go through due to «medical concerns». Asllani remains at Hoffenheim, where he scored 10 goals in the previous season.
This collapse indirectly impacts Barcelona's plans, as the striker was on their radar as a low-cost option if they couldn't seal Julián Álvarez. His profile and affordable price made him a viable alternative for the Catalan club's finances.
