Aston Villa seals Ruggeri deal from Atlético Madrid

Aston Villa and Atlético Madrid have reached a verbal agreement for Matteo Ruggeri, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. The deal is virtually wrapped up: the Italian left-back has accepted the move and formal procedures between the clubs will commence from Wednesday onwards.

The transfer is worth €25 million plus €1.5 million in add-ons. Ruggeri could travel this week to undergo his medical examination and sign his contract with the Birmingham club.
