Barcelona and City agree Rodri transfer deal

The operation is moving fast. After days of intense negotiations, Barcelona and Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement for Rodri Hernández's transfer, according to Mundo Deportivo. The deal is worth around 70 million euros in fixed fees and variables, and the Madrid midfielder will sign a four-year contract until 2030.

Both clubs now need to formalize the contract exchange in writing, something Barcelona is confident it will complete within days. Now he can say goodbye to a team that will miss him, after Arsenal beat them 3-0 in the Community Shield on Sunday.

The Madrid native will further strengthen the Catalan side's midfield, already packed with talent like Pedri, Gavi, Olmo and Fermín. A signing that also stings Real Madrid, who were also pursuing the player during the World Cup.
