Bardghji undergoes surgery after anterior cruciate ligament tear

Roony Bardghji has undergone surgery after suffering a tear to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a Barcelona training session. The 20-year-old winger posted a photo on social media following the procedure with the message: "The road back starts now".

The injury occurred days after the triangular friendly Barcelona played in Udine, which Bardghji did not travel to in order to avoid physical risks while the club looked for a move for him. This is the second serious injury to the same knee: in April 2024, while at Copenhagen, he tore the anterior cruciate ligament and spent around ten months sidelined before recovering and joining Barcelona.

His Barcelona teammates have sent him messages of support on social media, as has his former club. Copenhagen wrote: "Stay strong, Roony! You did it before, you can do it again!". Barcelona will release further details about the operation shortly, according to Mundo Deportivo.
