The Belgian striker completes his move from Frankfurt for €2m, signing for newly promoted Abha.
Michy Batshuayi has completed his departure from Eintracht Frankfurt after joining Abha, the newly promoted Saudi Pro League side, for €2 million, according to L'Équipe. The 32-year-old Belgian forward leaves Germany following an injury in December that has kept him sidelined, during which time he trained with the club's reserve squad.
The former Marseille player will be far from unfamiliar faces at his new club. Abha has conducted an ambitious transfer market with fifteen signings and already boasts several former Ligue 1 stars, including Nabil Fekir, Donovan Léon and Abdou Diallo. With this signing, Batshuayi will play in his seventh different league throughout his career. The Belgian international has earned 55 caps for the Red Devils.
