Bayindir officially joins Celta on loan from Manchester United

Celta officially announced the arrival of Altay Bayindir on Friday, with the goalkeeper already incorporated into the squad's preseason training in Italy. The 28-year-old Turkish international joins on loan from Manchester United with an option to buy, according to MARCA.

Bayindir has seen limited minutes at the English club since arriving three years ago from Fenerbahce, making just 17 official appearances, 10 of them in the Premier League. The international goalkeeper will compete for the starting spot with Radu, though the Romanian keeper will initially remain the club's number one.

Claudio Giráldez has already spoken with the player to outline the Celta project. The Galician club notes that it trusts Bayindir will "continue to provide his security between the posts, his imposing physicality and his ability to dominate the air in this new stage." With this signing, Iván Villar will become the team's third goalkeeper.
