Breel Embolo set for Atlanta United move

Breel Embolo is set to leave Ligue 1 and head to the MLS. According to *L'Équipe*, citing Ouest-France, the Swiss international striker from Rennes is negotiating a transfer to Atlanta United worth around €17 million excluding bonuses.

The 29-year-old is under contract with the Breton club until 2029 and arrived from Monaco last summer after three seasons in the Principality. His opening campaign in France proved productive: he scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists in Ligue 1, helping the team secure European football. However, he saw his playing time decrease towards the end of the season when Rennes switched to a different tactical setup.
