Brugué, Dela, Iván Romero and Mandi named Levante captains

Levante have officially unveiled their captains for the upcoming La Liga season. Roger Brugué, Dela, Iván Romero and Aïssa Mandi will wear the armband in their second consecutive campaign in Spain's top flight.

Three of the chosen players were already part of the squad last season. Brugué returns as captain after proving his leadership in the final stretch of the previous campaign, despite the injury that required surgery in January. Dela, signed from Villarreal in 2023, officially assumes the role for the first time after earning the technical staff's confidence. Iván Romero, recruited from Sevilla in 2023, makes his debut as captain with his commitment and versatility on the pitch.

The major newcomer is Aïssa Mandi, the Algerian centre-back who arrived last July. According to MARCA, the defender brings extensive European experience from spells at clubs like Real Betis and Villarreal, plus captain experience with his national team. Levante are betting on his leadership and know-how to guide the dressing room this season.
