Bruno Guimarães completes £75m move to Arsenal

The Brazilian midfielder seals his transfer from Newcastle with a four-year contract and vows to chase trophies at the Emirates.

Bruno Guimarães is now officially an Arsenal player after Newcastle accepted his sale for £75 million, according to The Guardian. The 29-year-old Brazilian has signed a four-year deal with a further one-year option at the Gunners.

The midfielder, who captained Newcastle to their first trophy in nearly 70 years when they won the Carabao Cup, expressed his excitement following the move: "I needed a new challenge in my life. After playing two World Cups, I'm at the point where I want to win trophies and make history, and I think I'm in the right place to do it." Guimarães also praised Arsenal's midfield depth: "In my view, it's one of the best in Europe."

At Newcastle, the player acknowledged the weight of his decision: "This is one of the toughest decisions of my life. I fell in love with this place." His arrival significantly strengthens Mikel Arteta's midfield options, joining forces with stars like Declan Rice and Ødegaard.
