PSG-Zion Suzuki deal collapses over player-side issues
The deal between PSG and goalkeeper Zion Suzuki falls apart at the last minute despite clubs reaching a €35 million verbal agreement.
Negotiations between PSG and Zion Suzuki have collapsed in the final stretch. According to Fabrizio Romano, although a verbal agreement existed between the clubs for €35 million, the Japanese goalkeeper raised issues that caused the operation to fall through. The Parisian club even sent a private flight to Italy to collect the keeper, but ultimately it didn't work out.
Aston Villa steps in
With the door closed in Paris, Zion Suzuki will now evaluate fresh options. Aston Villa has entered the race and already shown interest in the Japanese goalkeeper, opening a new path to resolve his future in the transfer market.
