Caicedo arrives at Barcelona with ambitions to debut in La Liga

The wait is over for Josué Caicedo. The 18-year-old Ecuadorian left-back arrived in Barcelona on Monday night after resolving the bureaucratic matters that had delayed his move to Barça Atlètic, where he will work under Juliano Belletti.

The deal was announced in mid-July, but the promising player had not been able to travel until now. According to Mundo Deportivo, the agreement is a loan with a €2.5 million purchase option from LDU Quito.

Upon arrival at the airport, Caicedo showed great enthusiasm about the project. "I'm grateful to everyone. I want to win everything and stay here. I want to debut in La Liga with Barça," said the player, who also praised Alejandro Balde as one of his role models. The left-back confirmed he has not yet spoken with Deco about the club's future plans for his career.
