Carrick pushes for more signings at Manchester United

Michael Carrick is not closing the door on Manchester United's summer transfer business. The Red Devils manager, preparing for his first full season in charge, has made clear the club must continue its pursuit of new signings, according to BBC Sport.

United have invested £83 million so far, bringing in Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, with goalkeeper Karl Darlow also arriving on a free transfer. However, Carrick acknowledges gaps remain at left-back and in central midfield, particularly as the club prepares to return to the Champions League after a two-year absence. «We want more, we need more, we keep looking for how we can do that,» he said.

On Marcus Rashford, Carrick sidestepped questions about the forward's future and stressed he would treat him like any other player, despite their former teammate connection. Regarding Kobbie Mainoo, the manager highlighted his support for the young midfielder following his World Cup snub, saying he has been in regular contact to bolster the player's confidence during a challenging period.
