Chelsea seal Pep Chavarría signing from Rayo Vallecano

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Pep Chavarría as their new left-back from Rayo Vallecano, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 28-year-old Spanish defender will join on a long-term contract with a package worth €19 million fixed plus €2 million in add-ons.

Both clubs will sign the documents tonight. Chavarría provides the Blues with additional defensive cover as they continue strengthening their squad during the January transfer window.
