Chelsea sets 5pm Friday deadline for City to meet Enzo fee
The Blues demand £120m fixed fee from Manchester City by 5pm Friday or the deal is off.
The operation reaches a critical juncture. Chelsea has informed Manchester City it has until 5pm Friday to pay the full £120 million fixed fee for Enzo Fernández, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues leave no room for negotiation: they guarantee they have «no intention to negotiate» and have already informed the midfielder's camp about these plans since May 2026. It's a maximum firmness stance designed to force Manchester City's hand.
Now the ball is squarely in City's court: meet the full amount before the deadline or walk away from the deal.
