Córdoba opens season against Burgos in LaLiga Hypermotion

Córdoba CF begin their third consecutive campaign in LaLiga Hypermotion this Sunday. The side managed by Iván Ania travel to El Plantío from 19:00 to face Burgos on the opening day of the 2026-2027 season.

The match will be broadcast on Movistar Plus+ and DAZN, as reported by *Sport*. Operators including Orange, Vodafone, Finetwork, Telecable and Amazon Prime Video will also provide access to the clash. Locally, PTV Telecom will air it via their Zapi platform.

Heavily revamped squads

Both teams arrive with thoroughly overhauled rosters following the summer. Córdoba have brought in more than a dozen new faces across all areas: Guilherme Fernandes in goal; Juan Gutiérrez, Egoitz Muñoz, Dani Tasende and Jacobo Martí at the back; Diarra, Damián Cáceres, Eder García and Adnane Ghailan in midfield; and El Jebari, Ibai Sanz, Enol Rodríguez and Bri (on permanent deal) up front. Víctor Sánchez also returns from his loan spell.

Burgos, under Sergio Francisco —making his debut on the bench after succeeding Luis Miguel Ramis— have equally transformed their squad. Key departures include Fer Niño, Morante and Atienza, whilst reinforcements such as Bruno Iribarne, Javi Llabrés, Dadie, Oier Luengo, José Gragera and Ignasi Vilarrasa have arrived.
