The Belgian goalkeeper started preseason solo at the training ground and recovers from a muscle injury suffered at the World Cup.
Thibaut Courtois has taken his first step back to work. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Belgian goalkeeper completed a solo training session on Friday at Valdebebas following his vacation after the World Cup, where Belgium was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Spain.
During that match, Courtois suffered a muscle injury that forced him off the pitch. He used his days off to recover from the physical blow and should be available for José Mourinho in the upcoming preseason matches.
The Real Madrid goalkeeper didn't meet up with the rest of the squad, which had already traveled to Budapest to face Ferencvaros tomorrow in the second friendly. Other internationals like Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Ibrahima Konaté, and Marc Cucurella are still yet to report back.
