Doku renews with Manchester City until 2031

The Belgian winger extends his contract with the Citizens after recent renewals from Foden, Gvardiol and Khusanov.

Jérémy Doku will stay at Manchester City after renewing his contract through 2031, according to the BBC. The announcement will be made official next week, capping off a wave of extensions that has already included Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Abdukodir Khusanov.

The 24-year-old Belgian winger joined City from Rennes in 2023 for €60 million. In his first season under Pep Guardiola, he made 48 appearances and proved instrumental in securing the FA Cup and League Cup. Guardiola transformed him from a pure speed merchant into a well-rounded, tactically mature player with global impact.

Doku featured for Belgium at the World Cup, though his country fell in the quarter-finals to Spain (2-1). His commitment to City strengthens the club's plans for the coming season following Guardiola's departure.
