Domínguez's move to Oviedo is official; Celta exhausts Spain loan quota

Carlos Domínguez joins Oviedo on loan from Celta; the Galician side has now used up its six allowed domestic loan slots.

Carlos Domínguez's loan move to Oviedo is now confirmed. The centre-back departs Celta in search of more playing time next season, as reported by MARCA.

At 25 years old, Domínguez leaves Vigo for the first time after five years at the club, where he made his senior debut and appeared in 79 official matches (13 last season). In Segunda División, he will hunt for game time, competing in a division where he will notably face Celta's reserve team, where he developed.

This loan completes Celta's allocation of domestic loan slots: after Manu Sánchez, Damián Rodríguez, Hugo Sotelo, Carlos Dotor and Unai Núñez, they have now made six moves — the permitted maximum. The three remaining transfer-listed players — Manu Fernández, Carles Pérez and Matías Vecino — will have to leave abroad or via a permanent move.
