Drammeh, from street football with Yamal to his Getafe Primera debut

The 19-year-old winger, who played in Mataró streets alongside Lamine Yamal, makes his Primera squad appearance for Getafe against Alavés after impressing in preseason.

Ibra Drammeh has earned a spot in José Bordalás' squad for Saturday's match at Mendizorroza against Alavés. The 19-year-old winger is one of the new signings for Getafe B and has made the jump to the first-team squad after impressing during preseason with the senior group.

Drammeh's journey is a special one. Born in Spain to Gambian parents, he started playing street football in Mataró, where from an early age he shared the pitch with a future champion like Lamine Yamal. Those matches against older, more physical opponents helped him develop the qualities that he would later transfer to competitive football, according to his entourage speaking to MARCA.

From academy to first team

Drammeh joined Getafe this season from División de Honor. Upon arrival, Bordalás brought him into preseason training with the first team, where he featured in several matches and generated cautious optimism with his performances. Now, alongside fellow academy players Alberto Risco and Diego Ferrer, he is part of the 20-man squad for the league opener.
