The Basque side returns to work after a five-day break with sessions split across three groups ahead of matches against Marseille and Atalanta.
Athletic has resumed training this morning at Lezama following a five-day break, according to Mundo Deportivo. The pause came due to the delayed start of their league campaign, which won't begin until next Saturday 22nd when they host Sevilla at San Mamés.
Coach Terzic has split the squad into three groups for their return, putting players through physical tests, field work with strength exercises, and ball work. The groups have rotated onto the pitch at one-hour intervals to avoid overlap.
Vivian remains absent due to the long adductor injury he's been carrying for a month and won't travel to Marseille either. There's positive news in midfield: Gerenabarrena and Prados completed training normally. Athletic now enters the final stretch of their pre-season with two major tests ahead: a trip to Marseille on Sunday and a visit to Atalanta next Friday, before their official debut.
