Atletico Madrid arrived in South Korea amid absolute mayhem. According to Mundo Deportivo, thousands of people greeted the Madrid side at Seoul airport at 14:30 local time (7:30 am in Spain).

Diego Pablo Simeone was among the most applauded figures, spending several minutes signing autographs for hundreds of supporters carrying club shirts, scarves and banners. He was not alone: players like Koke, Le Normand, Barrios, Carlos Martín and Boñar also posed for photos with fans holding flags from Atletico, South Korea and Spain.
