Barcelona advancing Dany Freire deal, Portuguese teenage talent

The 15-year-old forward is training with Barcelona after a spell in Luxembourg and could sign in September upon turning 16.

FC Barcelona continues its push to recruit young international talent. Dany Freire, a 15-year-old Portuguese forward, is currently on trial at the Catalan club after spending the last season at Racing FC Union Luxembourg, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

Freire recently took part in Barcelona's youth stage in Tona and his performances have impressed the club. If the positive first impressions continue, the attacker will sign with Barcelona in September, when he turns 16. He is a versatile forward capable of playing across all three attacking positions.

The player featured in the Youth League with Racing and won the Luxembourg U-17 Cup (scoring one goal and providing an assist in the final). An international at Portugal's youth levels, he trained alongside Cristiano Ronaldo's son in the U-15 squad. The move fits Barcelona's broader strategy of strengthening their academy with European talent.
