Barcelona rejects PSG's offer for Ferran Torres

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain remain in talks over Ferran Torres, but are yet to reach an agreement. According to Mundo Deportivo, the French club tabled an initial offer of €40 million fixed, which the Catalans rejected as insufficient.

Barcelona values the Valencian forward highly following his World Cup performances and his strategic importance to the project: he is the club's only out-and-out centre-forward after Lewandowski's exit. Moreover, PSG's financial clout (they sold Gonçalo Ramos to Milan for €75 million) suggests they could improve their bid.

Against this backdrop, Barcelona expect Ferran to report back this Wednesday at the Ciutat Esportiva, joining fellow Spanish internationals wrapping up their break: Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo and Pau Cubarsí. Negotiations remain open, but there has been no breakthrough so far.
