Betis are about to seal a profitable operation with Nobel Mendy. According to MARCA, Rayo Vallecano and Hull City are finalizing the details of the Senegalese defender's transfer for a fee close to €20 million.
The move will generate significant income for the Heliópolis club: €3.5 million from Mendy's transfer to Rayo (purchase option executed before 30 June), plus 20% of the Hull City sale — a clause that could now bring in an additional €4 million if everything closes and Mendy passes his medical.
Mendy arrived at Betis in 2023-24 on loan from Paris FC for the B team, and his performances convinced the club to execute the purchase for €900,000. After a 2024-25 campaign hampered by injuries, Betis sought an exit in the summer, finding it at Vallecas, where he gained prominence. Now he makes the jump to English football.
