Celta confirms interest in Zeballos

Celta needs attacking reinforcement before closing out the transfer window, and Exequiel Zeballos is one of the options they're considering. Director of football Marco Garcés confirmed this in statements to Sportitalia: «We are looking at a couple of players. For us and for the coach it is necessary to bring an attacking player who gives us imbalance and one-on-one ability, who can help us break down closed defenses. He is certainly one of the players we are looking at».

However, there's a significant obstacle: Boca is asking for six million euros for the Argentine winger, a fee Vigo are unwilling to pay. Additionally, Zeballos' contract expires on December 31st, so Celta would prefer to resolve this within the coming days or move on to other targets. According to MARCA, the Galician club has other options in that position and doesn't want the operation to drag on.
