Carlos Hernández and Kuki Zalazar's goals seal a 2-1 win for Ceuta over Málaga in the Ciudad de Ceuta Trophy, despite Haitam's direct free-kick goal.
Ceuta claimed the Ciudad de Ceuta Trophy with a 2-1 victory over Málaga in a preseason friendly at the Alfonso Murube. According to MARCA, goals from Carlos Hernández (min. 34) and Kuki Zalazar (min. 45) decided the match, while Haitam equalised with a stunning direct free-kick placed near the top corner (min. 40).
The home side dominated large spells of the encounter, particularly after the break, and could have won by a larger margin. Otu Jr. hit the crossbar with a header and Málaga's attack failed to pose significant threats in the second half.
The match brought mixed news for Málaga: Dotor and Calero both left the pitch with physical problems. However, there was a positive development: the return of Álex Pastor, who featured for his first 35 minutes after 348 days away. Defender Einar Galilea also made his preseason debut, wearing the captain's armband.
