Man City targets Chelsea's Fernández to replace Rodri

While negotiations continue over Rodri's transfer, City is hunting for a successor. Ayoub Bouaddi from Lille was initially targeted, but the French club is reluctant to sell. According to Mundo Deportivo, Enzo Fernández has now emerged as the priority option. The Argentine midfielder, 25, currently plays for Chelsea.

The connection between player and coach is strong: Enzo Maresca has requested Fernández expressly after their time together at Chelsea. However, the deal faces a major hurdle. Fernández is contracted until 2032, and Chelsea has made clear they will only let him go for an offer exceeding €100 million.
