Deportivo makes contact with Adama Traoré, but faces obstacles

The Galician club approached the free agent winger after leaving West Ham, but his financial demands and preference to stay in England complicate the move.

Deportivo has made moves to try and sign Adama Traoré, who left West Ham as a free agent and appears on the radar of the Galician club as a right winger option. According to *Sport*, the Riazor-based side sought to understand the conditions under which the former Barcelona player could arrive, but has run into two major obstacles that seriously hamper the operation.

The player's demands

The wages that Traoré is demanding exceed the economic parameters that Deportivo can manage for this deal. Beyond that, and perhaps more decisive, the player wishes to remain in England, where he has built his career in recent years. While he hasn't completely ruled out other options, a return to Spain is not among his priorities at the moment.

As summer progresses, options dwindle. If in the coming weeks his demands and the player's wishes align with the club's parameters, both parties could find common ground, but the path is far from straightforward. Deportivo has already brought in Leo Román, Bright Ede, Angeliño, Teun Gijselhart, Lorenzo Amatucci, Jonathan Asp-Jensen and Aubameyang, still searching for a left-back centre-back and that right winger to complete their squad.
