Madrid arrive at Teresa Herrera with World Cup stars returning
Real Madrid visit Deportivo in the Teresa Herrera trophy with most of their star players rejoining after the World Cup.
Real Madrid travel to A Coruña this Wednesday to play the Teresa Herrera Trophy against Deportivo, according to Sport. It is the final warm-up match before the whites' league debut against Espanyol in the second round, having had two extra weeks due to the World Cup.
José Mourinho has overhauled Real Madrid's squad this summer. Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Ibrahima Konaté (Liverpool), Denzel Dumfries (Inter), Marc Cucurella (Chelsea) and Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig) have arrived for over 120 million euros combined. He also renewed Vinícius until 2032. The first friendlies were played without them, using reserves and academy players, with results of 4-1 against Leganés, 2-2 against Fiorentina and 1-2 against Ferencváros.
In the latest match in Budapest, Rüdiger, Bernardo Silva and Vinícius already got minutes. More are arriving for Teresa Herrera: Mbappé, Konaté, Tchouaméni, Cucurella, Bellingham and Diomande, though their participation is not guaranteed due to lack of playing time. Madrid have another friendly next Saturday against Schalke 04 before the league kicks off.
