The Citizens complete the signing of Argentine goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, 34, on a two-year deal worth £1.7m.
Manchester City have sealed the signing of Argentine goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli from Marseille, according to BBC Sport. The deal is worth £1.7m and the keeper has agreed a two-year contract with the Premier League outfit.
Rulli returns to Etihad Stadium after spending the 2016-17 season there, though he did not make a senior appearance. At 34, he arrives as a replacement for James Trafford, who left the club to join Leeds in a deal worth up to £45m this week. He will serve as understudy to number one Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Argentine brings solid pedigree: eight caps for his country and a winner of the 2022 World Cup and 2024 Copa America. He is also remembered for scoring a penalty in the 2021 Europa League final when playing for Villarreal against Manchester United.
