Milan reject Galatasaray's opening bid for Leao

Rafael Leao is firmly in Galatasaray's sights. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Turkish champions have tabled their opening formal offer of €35 million for the Portuguese winger, but Milan have rejected it as insufficient.

The Rossoneri are holding out for a minimum of €50 million to let Leao leave. Meanwhile, the winger has already reached personal terms with Galatasaray worth €9 million per season, nearly double what he currently earns in Italy. The move would come after Leao told Milan months ago that he was seeking a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Negotiations remain live. Recently, a Galatasaray fan encountered Leao at Perth airport, where Milan are on their pre-season tour, and asked him to sign a club shirt. The Portuguese winger replied bluntly: «You're joking right now», suggesting the deal is still in its early stages.
