Palace closing in on signing Khalaili from Union SG

Crystal Palace are set to complete the signing of 21-year-old midfielder Anan Khalaili from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise for around £21m.

Crystal Palace are in the final stages of landing midfielder Anan Khalaili from Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise. According to BBC Sport, the 21-year-old is expected to wrap up his move to the Eagles within the coming week, with the fee reported to be in the region of £21 million.

Khalaili, who operates on the right flank, made 52 appearances last season for Union SG, where he scored six goals and provided six assists. The Israeli international has already tasted European football through Champions League action with his previous club, experience that will prove valuable as Palace prepare for their Europa League campaign.

The signing caps a busy summer for the London side, who have already completed free transfers for defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oscar Mingueza. The club are also edging closer to landing winger Zavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake.
