The Spanish side complete the Scottish striker's signing and pursue a Franco-Nigerian goalscorer from Al Ittihad to bolster their attack.
Sevilla have wrapped up the signing of Robbie Ure. The 22-year-old Scottish forward, according to Mundo Deportivo, travels to Andalusia to complete medical checks and sign a five-year contract. The deal closes at €6.5 million, with variables that could push the fee past €8 million. Ure arrives on the back of a goalscoring explosion in the Swedish league: 15 goals in 15 matches with IK Sirius.
But the Seville club isn't stopping there. While finalizing Ure, they're working in parallel to bring George Ilenikhena, a 19-year-old Franco-Nigerian forward owned by Al Ittihad. Sevilla are eyeing a loan move for the player, who joined the Saudi side just a month ago from Monaco for €33 million but has failed to settle and wants to return to Europe. At Monaco, Ilenikhena scored 10 goals in a season and a half.
Sevilla's intention is to build a competitive attacking unit after the departure of Akor Adams to Venezia for €16 million. With Ure and Ilenikhena, a three-pronged attack would be completed alongside Isaac Romero, as ABC reports.
