Sevilla fine-tunes its overhaul: eleven deals done, more to come

Sevilla is in the final stretch of its market restructuring. According to MARCA, the sporting direction led by José Ignacio Navarro has already completed eleven operations following the departures of seven players who ended their contracts or loans (Azpilicueta, Gudelj, Alexis Sánchez and others), and expects to seal as many again within the next three weeks.

Sales have brought in €31 million—potentially reaching €40m—thanks to the transfers of Akor Adams to Venezia, Juanlu Sánchez to Bournemouth and Djibril Sow to Genoa. On arrivals, the club has balanced experienced free agents with young talent: Juan Iglesias, Jon Guridi and Arouna Sangante joined on free transfers, while the goalkeeping department strengthened with another loan of Odysseas Vlachodimos (Newcastle) and two defensive prospects.

The priority now is solving the attack. With Isaac Romero as their only striker, the target is Robbie Ure, a 22-year-old Scottish forward with 20 goals in 20 games this season at Swedish Sirius, for fees around €10 million. They also seek a more versatile attacker and to reinforce midfield with Giorgi Kochorashvili (Sporting) as the main candidate. Meanwhile, they must offload fringe players like Joan Jordán, who is heading towards Portuguese football.
