Ferran Torres to PSG for nearly 50 million

Barcelona and PSG close the deal for Spanish forward Ferran Torres for under 50 million euros, fixed fee with no add-ons.

The operation is moving forward as planned. Ferran Torres and PSG have sealed their club agreement, according to Mundo Deportivo, for a fee around 50 million euros with no variables. The 26-year-old Valencian striker has requested permission from Barcelona to skip training while the paperwork is finalized.

Now it's time to put everything in the contracts. The five-year deal between the player and the Parisian club was already locked in, so only administrative details remain and Ferran passing his medical at PSG before it becomes official.

The fee is more than reasonable for Barcelona: the striker's contract runs out next season and the club saves 8 million in a Manchester City clause that would have been triggered if they had renewed him. Between the incoming fee and that saving, the operation nets around 58 million, recovering almost the entire initial investment from three years ago.
