The footballer accepts unpaid collaboration with the regional government following his World Cup triumph.
Ferran Torres will become an image and ambassador for the Valencia region without receiving any financial compensation. Regional president Juan Francisco Pérez Llorca announced this during an official reception at the Palau following the player's five-day promotional tour across the United States.
According to MARCA, the Foios-born striker insisted on the condition of receiving no payment, a gesture that the president praised as a commitment to his homeland. "His values make him a great ambassador for our land throughout the world," Pérez Llorca stated. The agreement was signed in the Palau's emblematic halls.
Following the institutional events, Torres will enjoy a tribute in his hometown this afternoon, where thousands of fans are expected to gather. Once celebrations conclude, the forward will return to Barcelona, where he faces crucial decisions about his future: renewal, departure (with PSG monitoring), or completing his final contract year before becoming a free agent.
