Real Sociedad's left-back seeks an exit this summer after his loan spell at Oviedo, with two European clubs in the running.
Javi López looks set to leave Real Sociedad this summer. After his loan spell at Real Oviedo last season, the left-back (24) returned to Donostia without convincing during pre-season, where he saw limited action, and his future points away from Anoeta.
According to Mundo Deportivo, two options are emerging abroad for the defender. Feyenoord is keen to sign him on a loan deal with an option to buy, while Sporting CP has also expressed interest but with a key difference: they would be willing to pursue a permanent transfer. Real Sociedad spent €6.5 million to sign Javi López in summer 2024 from Alavés, so any departure would need to recover a significant portion of that investment.
Back in Spain, several clubs are also monitoring him: Sevilla, Deportivo Alavés, Rayo Vallecano and even Real Oviedo are keeping close tabs. Intense days lie ahead in the transfer market to settle the defender's next destination.
