Forés turns down Sporting and heads to Burgos

Álex Forés will not be joining Sporting. The striker, the main target to reinforce the Asturian attack, has instead committed to Burgos for the upcoming season, as confirmed by LA NUEVA ESPAÑA.

The rojiblancos had tabled an offer to Villarreal worth around half a million euros and put an attractive proposal on the table for Forés to join Nicolás Larcamón's squad. However, the forward had other options to consider and, after weighing several proposals, ultimately chose the Burgos project.

Sporting president José Riestra recently confirmed the club's interest in the player, stating they had been tracking him for some time and even tried to sign him back in December. Forés' decision now forces the club to continue searching for a quality striker to replace Jonathan Dubasin.
