The 20-year-old Barcelona fullback has accepted his departure and is eyeing a move to England this summer.
Héctor Fort has accepted that his future lies away from FC Barcelona. According to Mundo Deportivo, the 20-year-old right-back is not in Hansi Flick's plans and is now working to find a new club during this transfer window.
Neither Barcelona nor the player are considering a loan move: the intention is a permanent departure, though the Catalans want to protect themselves with retained percentage of rights, a buyback option or resale clause depending on his destination. The club has valued Fort between €15 and €20 million. LaLiga clubs have shown interest, but the requirement for a transfer limits Spanish options.
The Premier League has emerged as the ideal target. English football has greater financial capacity to afford the operation and Fort himself views a move to England positively. Xavi Espart, a year younger, stands ahead of Fort in Flick's considerations, explaining the competition at Barcelona's right-back position.
