Foyth makes return after six-month injury layoff

Juan Foyth returned to action on Wednesday after spending six months on the sidelines. The Argentine defender suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in his left leg on January 25th in a match against Real Madrid, and used the preseason to make his gradual comeback.

In the friendly between Villarreal and Levante at Villarreal's training ground, Foyth started and completed the first 45 minutes of the match. His return comes after months of individual work at the club's facilities over the summer, pushing himself to recover as fully as possible.
