Getafe unveils Ünal, Mojica and Francho Serrano

The Madrid side formally presents its three new signings ahead of hosting Partizan in the Conference qualifier.

Getafe presented its three new arrivals this Tuesday ahead of the upcoming season. Enes Ünal returns home after his spell at Bournemouth, visibly emotional about coming back to the club where he has performed best in his career.

The Turkish striker was straightforward in his press conference: "It's a challenge for me, to find myself again and give everything for this club. I wanted to be here, at home, to feel the affection and trust. I had wonderful seasons and have lifelong friends. It was a commitment to come back". Reflecting on his difficult departure from Bournemouth, Ünal explained that "it seemed like there was no way out, it was complicated. That's in the past, I'm grateful to my club for wanting me to return".

Bordalás' ambition, a key factor

Johan Mojica also expressed his satisfaction at arriving at the Coliseum. The Colombian left-back, who has spent fourteen years in Spain, made clear his priority to stay in the country: "There were other options heating up quite a bit, but with my agent I was very clear this would be the one". Mojica highlighted Bordalás' importance in his decision: "I know how he works, he's very demanding. I have football aspects that match a lot of what the team needs". Both Ünal and Mojica underline the Bordalás factor. The Turk acknowledged: "He hasn't asked me for anything, but I know him, he's one of the coaches I'm here for. He's going to demand everything from me every day".

The presentation comes three days before the European match against Partizan in the Conference qualifying round. Ünal was direct about the Serbian rivals: "They're a big team in their country, I watched some matches. Mitro is a good friend of mine, it will be difficult. We need to be ready from the first moment, we can't be overconfident or make silly mistakes".

Francho Serrano, the third signing, completes a trio the club hopes will strengthen its options in both La Liga and the continental competition.
