Gorka Rivera loaned out to Unionistas de Salamanca

Getafe have loaned Gorka Rivera, one of their most promising academy prospects, to Unionistas de Salamanca. The left-back, who has already featured for Getafe's first team, will seek valuable minutes in the Spanish second division after a serious injury halted his development two seasons ago.

Rivera, who can also play as a centre-back, signed a four-year deal with the Madrid club with ambitions of establishing himself in the first team. According to MARCA, Getafe want him to develop in a demanding category to assess whether he can become a regular defender for the club.

The defender has already appeared for Getafe's senior side: he made his debut in the 23/24 season against Girona and played last campaign against Sevilla at the Sánchez Pizjuán. He has also featured in several pre-season campaigns under Bordalás.
