Guedes out for surgery, to miss preseason matches

Gonçalo Guedes will miss Real Sociedad's upcoming preseason fixtures after undergoing a personal surgical procedure with no connection to football activities, as confirmed by the club. The Portuguese winger is absent from training sessions this week at Zubieta and will be unavailable for several days.

The timing of the absence is far from ideal at the start of preseason. Guedes will miss the double header against Cologne this Friday and Saturday in Germany, limiting his preparation time before the league campaign kicks off. His only chance to build match fitness before the season starts will be the friendly against Chelsea on August 15th.

Meanwhile, Odriozola, Gorrotxategi, Goti, Marín and Karrikaburu continue their recovery in different stages. Sergio Gómez, Dani Díaz and Kubo are training normally.
