Guillamón suffers injury in Sporting debut

A nightmare debut for Hugo Guillamón at Sporting Gijon. The club's new signing came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute of the league match against Sabadell and had to leave the field injured just two minutes later. According to Sport, the defender grabbed his left calf in a worrying manner.

Initial Assessment

After the match, manager Nicolás Larcamón pointed to a possible calf strain. The initial tests confirmed the worst fears. While Sporting awaits further examinations to determine the full extent of the injury, early estimates suggest a recovery period of between six and eight weeks.
