Arsenal draw 1-1 with Como in their final pre-season friendly, with Guimaraes making his debut and Lewis-Skelly scoring amid transfer speculation.
Bruno Guimaraes made his first appearance for Arsenal in their 1-1 draw against Como in their final pre-season friendly at the Emirates, according to Sky Sports. The Brazilian, signed for £75 million from Newcastle on Saturday, came off the bench in the second half after Myles Lewis-Skelly opened the scoring by capitalizing on a poor pass from Como goalkeeper Jean Butez.
Lewis-Skelly celebrated his goal with a heart gesture with his hands, amid speculation about a potential move away from the club. His opener was cancelled out by Martin Baturina before half-time, leaving the match level. The Gunners failed to find a winner in the second half and won the subsequent penalty shoot-out 4-3, with Guimaraes and fellow new signing Christos Tzolis both scoring from the spot.
Mikel Arteta left out Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi from the friendly fixture.
