Guimaraes completes Arsenal move: 'I'm your warrior'

Bruno Guimaraes is officially an Arsenal player. The 28-year-old midfielder has completed his move from Newcastle for £75m, according to Sky Sports, after the Gunners saw an opening bid rejected before striking a deal.

The Brazilian has signed a four-year contract with a further one-year option and will wear the number 39 shirt. Speaking after the move, Guimaraes expressed his excitement: "I feel amazing. Since the first time I spoke to Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta, I was excited. I'm your warrior, I'll never give up."

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta added: "We are delighted to welcome Bruno. He is a player with great mentality and quality who will bring strong leadership to our squad." With this sale, Newcastle have now surpassed £240m in player sales during the summer transfer window.
