Guruzeta returns to training; Vivian remains sidelined

The striker recovers from a knock and will be available for Terzic's debut against Sevilla, while Vivian continues to miss training due to a muscle injury.

Gorka Guruzeta has returned to training with the group at Lezama on Tuesday and has recovered from the knock that ruled him out of the friendly against Atalanta. According to Mundo Deportivo, the striker will be available for Saturday, when Athletic Club hosts Sevilla in Edin Terzic's official debut as manager.

Terzic had to rely on Maroan Sannadi up front in Bergamo, where Guruzeta did not play. With the forward's return, the German coach will have nearly all his pieces in place for the clash with Sevilla, who arrive at San Mamés following a win over Rayo Vallecano at the Sánchez Pizjuán.

Only one significant absence

Dani Vivian looks set to be the only notable casualty. The centre-back has not yet rejoined full training due to a muscle injury that has sidelined him throughout the eight pre-season matches. Although four more training sessions remain before the Sevilla game, Vivian will need a favourable recovery to feature.

On the positive side, Aymeric Laporte and Nico Williams continue without issues in the squad, though they did not travel to Bergamo. Both will be available for Terzic's final squad announcement.
