Ipswich Town have reached an agreement to sign forward Julio Enciso from Strasbourg, with the player returning to the club.
Ipswich Town have agreed a deal to sign Julio Enciso from Strasbourg, as reported by BBC Sport. The 22-year-old Paraguay international makes a return to the club after a six-month loan spell from Brighton in 2025.
Enciso impressed under new Ipswich boss Gary O'Neil while at the French club last season, prompting the former Bournemouth manager—who arrived at Portman Road this summer—to push for an early reunion. Although the fee remains undisclosed, those involved believe it will take up a sizeable chunk of Ipswich's remaining transfer budget and deliver Strasbourg a substantial profit on the £7.7m they paid for him a year ago.
The Tractor Boys have already made 10 major signings this summer, including Daizen Maeda from Celtic and club-record signing Emersonn from Toulouse for £24m. Ipswich kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Sunderland on 22 August.
