The English striker at Al-Ahli faces court on September 24 following an alleged incident in December 2025.
Ivan Toney has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm following an incident at a London nightclub on December 6, 2025, according to the Metropolitan Police. The English international, who reached the 2026 World Cup semi-finals, is due to appear before Winchester Crown Court on September 24.
Police confirm that Toney, aged 30, was charged on July 31 with assault resulting in bodily injury. The incident reportedly involved an alleged headbutt, as first reported by The Sun at the time.
Through his legal team, the Al-Ahli player stated he «acknowledges the charge and, while naturally shocked, is pleased to have the opportunity to clear his name in court». This is not Toney's first off-field controversy: he was suspended for eight months in 2023 for his involvement in illegal betting activities.
