Jacobo Ortega leaves Real Madrid for Strasbourg
The Castilla striker signs a five-year deal with the French club for approximately 10 million euros.
Real Madrid have confirmed on Monday the departure of Jacobo Ortega to Strasbourg. The young Spanish forward commits to a five-year contract with the French club in a deal worth around 10 million euros, as reported by L'Équipe.
Ortega, a Youth League winner last spring with the whites, leaves Castilla after standing out in Madrid's academy. The striker will join Strasbourg's training sessions from Tuesday onwards.
Madrid retain control
One of the most interesting clauses in the agreement is the buyback option held by Real Madrid, following the same structure used with Nico Paz in his move to Como. This way, the Whites guarantee they can bring the player back if his progress in France is notable.
